Breaking Down Divisions, Classes, and Groups

Breaking Down Divisions, Classes, and Groups in Quinncia

As your student population increases, it becomes vital to have a robust infrastructure to help you manage your students.  You can get as creative as necessary but let’s outline common use cases for each.

You’ll find the divisions/classes/groups section by clicking your university name (top right) and clicking on the management console.  You will only have access to the Divisions, Classes, and Groups you've been assigned to see by your main admin (the main admin will see everything).  If you don't see something that you feel you should, please reach out to your main admin at your school and ask for help.

In the example below, the Division is 'Undergraduate" with 8 Classes beneath it.  Each of the 8 Classes has an assortment of Groups to help further breakdown the student population.

Divisions

Most schools split their undergraduate and graduate populations into two separate divisions.

***Scoring comparisons and feedback are separated by divisions.  For example, students in an undergraduate division will not be compared to those in a graduate division***

Classes

Classes can be split up by major/degrees and/or by advisors or professors who are using this for a class assignment.

Groups

Majors and degrees have different subsections that can be used here, professors can have a variety of sections for their class assignments, and advisors can have different segments of their assigned student population.  The possibilities are endless and we're here to help you organize this so it's right for you.
