OVERVIEW & PURPOSE

LinkedIn is a key tool for career readiness that helps with professional networking, job searching, and personal branding. It serves as a platform to connect with industry peers, mentors, and recruiters while also acting as a dynamic resume and portfolio to showcase your skills, achievements, and expertise. It allows you to highlight your abilities through endorsements and recommendations, enhancing your credibility. Having a complete and robust LinkedIn profile can be crucial to expanding your network and securing the job you want.

OBJECTIVE

Increase your LinkedIn score, and get your “Flags” to 0. By using quinncia.io, you can ensure your LinkedIn profile is complete and will grab employers' attention! Please review and complete the two assignments below.

• Resume uploaded to and analyzed by Quinncia
• LinkedIn Profile

SCORING GOALS (Instructors Choose): 

Depending on which year of school you are in, you should aim for different goals. The types of experiences you have as a first-year student are going to be different than a student leaving college.

Assignment #5: LinkedIn Analysis 1 (Due Date: ______ )

For this assignment, you will upload your LinkedIn profile for Quinn to review. You cannot upload your LinkedIn without uploading your resume (this should have been completed during Assignments #1 and #2!). To ensure you are prepared, go to LinkedIn and create your profile. Steps to take upload your LinkedIn for analysis: 

1. Log into your Quinncia account using your university email domain
2. Make sure you have uploaded a resume to the system

3. Scroll down to 'Your LinkedIn Analysis' and click on Upload New
4. Choose either Upload your LinkedIn profile as a PDF or Use the Quinncia extension
5. Click on 'Start LinkedIn Analysis'
6. Confirm your background and work experience by clicking 'Proceed'
7. Click on 'Submit Analysis'
8. Click on 'Go to LinkedIn Analysis'

*What are “Flags” and “Improvements”?

Flags: are edits that need to be made to have a complete LinkedIn profile.

• Flags are worth 2 points
• You should aim for 0 “Flags”

Improvements: optional recommendations for students to improve their profiles

• Improvements are worth 1 point

Assignment #6: LinkedIn Analysis 2 (Due Date: ______ )

For this assignment, you will upload your updated LinkedIn profile for analysis after you have reviewed your feedback and made corrections.

The goal of this assignment is to lower your “Flags” and “Improvements”

Assignment Steps: 

1. Make any additional corrections to your profile based on the feedback Quinn gave you in Assignment #1
2. Upload your profile by clicking on "Upload new" which can be located on your Quinncia dashboard
3. Review your feedback
4. Make suggested corrections

Note: The goal is NEVER to attain a perfect score, that’s not possible! The goal is to increase your score, confidence, and skills for future applications!

Goals of this assignment: 

• Decrease the number of flags and improvements: 
  • Critically analyze and reflect on how you can resolve your flags and what improvements will help the most
• Increase score: 
  • Resolving flags and improvements will make your profile more compelling and increase your overall score
